Another Winter

Winter seemed to start all over again this week with lots of snow, although temperatures were higher. We made sure to get out there and enjoy it.

We even got to go sledding again, hopefully for the last time this year.

Saturday, we had a lot of fun with Miles and Melissa. The kids showed up in the same shirt completely by accident!
After snacks at the coffee house, we headed to the Discovery Museum for some fun in the ticket booth,
and "painting on the walls," as Michael calls it.
I had a great time at dinner and the movies with school friends, and I highly recommend Warm Bodies. I loved the humor. Sunday was my last Kidsview day for the month. I always dread getting up so early in the morning to serve at the 8:00am service, but I have fallen in love with my kids. They are sooooo precious! Sunday night, JD and I got to go on a date when we saw the animated Oscar shorts. Michael was very excited to see his babysitter, Sarah again.

Miss Kelsey is now his full-time nanny, and we're very happy with her. She takes Michael to the gym, the library, the museum, and she's always coming up with new learning games for him to play at home. He loves her, and JD and I are very happy to have found a great solution to our child care dilemma this semester. Even so, I'm looking forward to May when I can be home again.

One more week until Spring break!

Fun Being Healthy

We have had soooo much fun hanging out and playing with Michael since we've been healthy for a week and a half. We've visited the train station to witness an arrival...
We got a free trampoline that Michael LOVES...
(We snuck a picture of him hanging out in his crib at bedtime)...
We've been grocery shopping with friends...
We had a Toys R Us outing where we got some hotwheels...
We visited Simon at the zoo, Michael's new best friend!
Ahhh, life is good. JD traveled Wednesday night, and Michael and I had a date at Stake N Shake and Barnes and Noble. Now, we're hunkered down for the blizzard that probably won't happen, but it's a good excuse to watch movies and eat icecream!

Surfacing

Okay, so February has been long too. This past weekend was nice though when Mom came to visit. She lightened the house and gave everyone a break from our woes. We've been spending a lot of time on the couch lately, resting and healing, but maybe this is the week for a fresh start.
Pico watches over the house.
Mom made it to JD's basketball game this weekend. Go, Cowboys!

Well, we pulled Michael out of daycare. We're sad because we know he had a lot of fun and was learning like crazy, but we're relieved because we're hoping that his little body will have a chance to heal. We have a sitter this week and hope to start a full-time nanny next week. So far, the house is a happier place.
