Summertime

Who said that Illinois summers were cooler?! She lied. We're sufferring up here with 93 degree highs and head indexes of 98. No, there's not less humidity either! With a thunderstorm almost every afternoon, the humidity is out of control. Cold winters and hot summers? Hmph.

But the weather has not stopped JD from joining a softball team with some guys from our small group. This week is the final tournament, but alas, JD will be out of town for it. Not that his absence matters much as no one has high hopes for the tournament. His team, The El33t (yes, that's how it's spelled, and no, I have no idea what it means), has a fabulous record of 0 for 7. That's seven losses, guys. And no wins. Does that bother JD Pond? Not in the least!
