We took our last trip before Baby Michael's birth this weekend, back to Batsonland! It was so good to see the family and to catch up. We hadn't seen them since Christmas or been to their house since Labor Day! We were lucky enough to show up on Scott's 16th birthday, so we got to celebrate that big day with him. It's crazy to remember that just 4 years ago, he was one of our ring bearers.
Eric made a life-size card for Scott's big day.
We also got to see Eric's and Joey's first soccer games of the season. It was rather chilly and windy, but it was a beautiful day.

Of course the boys played their traditional Monopoly game, with the inclusion of Scott's girlfriend, Kelly.

We also got to see Scott's new El Camino in action. Well, in action once Eric and Jake pushed it out of the garage, and Scott was able to get it started.

We got back Sunday, and Monday, Kevin and Michele (who were in Chicago for Kevin's job) drove down to visit us! Monday was Michele's birthday, so we got to celebrate over lunch and a walk around the town. It feels so good to have friends that go so far out of their way to come check out our lives in Normal.

It's a busy week for us this week. Tomorrow's my birthday, then JD's headed to Atlanta to pick up Vickie's old car, which we'll be using as a second vehicle for a while. When he gets back Thursday, we're hosting Bible study. We also have a few plans for Saturday, and sometime during this week, I need to finish a paper! Only two weeks of school to go and seven weeks of pregnancy to go. Life's a big count down right now.

looks like quite a fun trip! JD was telling me about that intense monop game, I'll have to bring him some real competition soon. Maybe I can hang out with all the punks sometime this fall!
Do you use the monopoly speed die with the man on it? This is now the only way I play :)
