This and That

Mooch says it best: Spring has arrived in Normal, IL., and how beautiful it is! Okay, it's a bit windy, but I'll take it. We've cleaned and re-set the porch, we planted new grass, JD's vegetables are growing from seed in the basement, and the early spring flowers are in full bloom! You really can't appreciate spring unless you live somewhere that has cold winters. It's just a miracle every year.

I have no idea what these flowers are, but they are the perfect Easter flowers, if you ask me!

The apple trees are budding!!

The lilac bush is coming back to life.

The apricot tree is gorgeous, and all the bees agree!

But best of all is our dogwood in full bloom. Now THAT is an Easter tree!

Meanwhile, Baby Michael is blooming himself. He's now 3 lbs. 6 oz. and scheduled for a 7 lb. birth weight. He's got some hair and laying horizontally, so he still has to flip, but he still has, well, exactly 2 months for that!

In these shots, we're seeing his face on the left and a foot on the right.
Gizmo is keeping a sharp lookout for Spring and Baby Michael from her favorite window ledge in the sunshine.

P.S. I apologize for the over-use of exclamation points in the post, but I really am excited!!

Yay for springtime! Nice to see everything blooming in "Bloomington" - Normal, ha! Can't wait to come up there again and see things with leaves and without snow. Cool baby pictures too, little Mike is looking like he'll be a solid kid. Could call him "Bruiser" for short
