Michael Stephen Pond

Michael, while the joy and entertainment of our lives, has been giving us a bit of trouble lately. Now that he crawls, he is exhausting! He follows us from room to room, pulling up on our legs, and disinterested in any of his own toys. And the fussiness!! I think it's the result of a sleep schedule that's off, a bad diaper rash, and general boredom. By the time JD gets home from work every day, I need a nap (and take one too!). I really do think it will get easier if the weather ever warms up. At least we can start taking walks and playing in the park. Michael LOVES the swings! He laughs the whole time he's playing. But he also loves just sitting in the woodchips and watching the other kids on the playground. He's finally noticed that something other than animals live on the planet. I keep telling myself, "it's going to get easier," but haven't I been saying that since he was born?! So that's why 14-year olds used to have kids!

you'll forget all about the challenges when he grows up to be a "fine young man"

Isn't it funny how we have the opposite issues -- you chase after Michael to exhaustion and I about want to cry when Miles naps because that means I don't get to play with him! It's tough being a mom whether you are at home OR work...Hang in there!
